A modern distillery on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake producing award winning whiskies, gins and vodka. The Lakes Distillery offers interactive tours, a well stocked shop and an on site bistro, and dogs are welcome across the campus.

What to Expect

The tour takes you through the spirit-making process from grain to glass, with tastings along the way. The on-site bistro serves food and drinks, and the shop is a great place to pick up bottles and gifts.

The Lakes Distillery is at Bassenthwaite Lake, near Cockermouth. Open daily 10 am–5 pm. Booking recommended for tours. Dog-friendly.
