Cumbrian Crafts & Edible Gifts

A collection of shops at the Rheged Centre near Penrith, offering edible gifts, design-led products and Cumbrian crafts. The “Shop for the Senses” is run by local artists and artisans.
What to Expect
Rheged brings together independent shops under one roof, each with a strong sense of place. Cumbrian preserves, locally made spirits, artisan pasta and design-led gifts alongside a café and exhibition space.
The Products
The variety is the draw, food, drink, crafts, homeware and gifts all sourced from Cumbrian producers. The “Shop for the Senses” is curated by local artists. It’s a great stop on the way in or out of the Lakes, and the café makes it easy to linger.
Getting There & Essential Info
Rheged is a short drive from the M6 (J40) at Penrith along the A66 towards Keswick, with regular local buses stopping directly outside. Free parking is available for visitors, with registration required for stays over five hours.
