SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel
Modern British with Japanese Influences
An intimate restaurant within the Gilpin Hotel, SOURCE serves modern cooking with playful Japanese influences using the finest Cumbrian produce. Multiple small dining rooms create an exclusive, personal atmosphere that makes every meal feel special.
What to Expect
Dishes combine locally sourced ingredients with Japanese techniques and flavours, resulting in food that’s creative, precise and full of surprise. The restaurant has an intimate scale, with small rooms rather than one large dining space, which gives it a sense of occasion without formality.
The Food
The menu draws on Cumbrian produce reimagined through a Japanese lens... think delicate preparations, umami depth and unexpected flavour pairings. Seasonal changes keep the offering fresh, and the kitchen’s attention to detail is evident in every course. An exceptional wine list complements the food.
