The Old Post Cottage, situated in the heart of Coniston is virtually on Church Beck Bridge. You couldn't wish for anything more central and yet the thick stone walls ensure that the cottage remains very quiet. Forming part of 'The Bridge Cottages', the Old Post Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in the village and as the name may suggest, the original village post office.

Ideally situated just a short walk from the church, local stores, gift shops, cafes and numerous pubs. Old Post Cottage is well placed for popular valley and mountain walks including the Old Man of Coniston.

In essence Old Post Cottage is perfect for couples, families and friends. Oh, and there's a hot tub available to guests, perfect for post adventure relaxation.

Old Post Cottage is part of the historic Bridge Cottages in the centre of Coniston, sleeping four across two king or twin en suite bedrooms. Once the village post office, it is full of character with comfortable modern touches.
Your Stay
The Bridge Cottages are among the oldest buildings in the village, with more than three hundred years of history as the post office, a butcher and once a well known restaurant. The kitchen is fully fitted for relaxed self catering.
Getting There & Essential Info
In the centre of Coniston, a short walk from the church, shops, cafes and pubs. Walks begin from the door and the lake is under fifteen minutes away. Sleeps four. Managed by The Coppermines Lakes Cottages.
