3 Dixon Ground | Coniston

A cosy & comfortable village home in a central yet quiet location with popular walks such as Coniston Old Man on the doorstep

3 Dixon Ground is a newly refurbished stone cottage, in the popular Lake District village of Coniston. With stunning walks from the doorstep and plenty of village amenities just a stone's throw away, 3 Dixon Ground is an ideal, comfortable base for any Lake District holiday.

Close to all the village amenities stands a tall and thin Victorian terrace, Dixon Ground. Perfectly positioned on the footpath to the Old Man of Coniston and Levers Water, and on the foothills of the crags behind, these terraced cottages are well situated for walkers, bikers and explorers keen to get straight onto the fells.

Number 3 is a three storey stone cottage nestled within the terrace. The house comfortably sleeps 5 adults across 3 bedrooms, with space for an additional child if required. With beds for a total of 6 guests, the cottage offers flexible accommodation, making it perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends. If you have a bigger group however, you could also take over Number 1 Dixon Ground which will sleep an extra 10 in 4 bedrooms, or Number 2 Dixon Ground sleeping 4 more, thus extending the sleeping capacity and allowing groups of up to 19 to be comfortably accommodated across 9 bedrooms. Ideal for those big family get-togethers and celebrations.

Though centrally located, with a pub within rolling distance, the Dixon Ground Cottages are pleasantly peaceful. For keen walkers there is access to the spectacular Coniston fells direct from the front door. In essence Number 3 would suit families with children of any age or couples looking to relax and enjoy the local area.
